MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - Rampa, a manufacturer of connecting technology for joining wood, metal and plastic, will highlight a new line of threaded inserts and automated insert machines at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference & Expo (WMS), Oct. 31-Nov. 2 at the International Centre.

Rampa says its new SKD330 threaded insert offers many benefits to the end user with its patented three external threads ensuring straight installation along with strong holding power in a wide range of wood and wood-related materials. The SKD330 inserts have a sealing collar along with hex drive to ease installation and provide a smooth, clean looking appearance, the company adds.

The Rampa A.I.M. (Automated Insert Machine) is designed to aid in increasing the speed and accuracy of installing inserts. Various models are available depending on the desired torque and working area required. According to Rampa, all models are designed for ease of use with perpendicular positioning, magnetic positing tool for quick adjustment, fast tool exchange, and automatic reverse drive.
